Updates to Data Storage & Management under GDPR guidelines (from May 2018)

 

Your privacy is important to us

Sólás collects data on staff, volunteers and service users in order to deliver the best possible service. This includes enrollment/application details such as names, addresses, contact details, background and sometimes medical details and or/statements of official diagnoses. Sólás only collects essential data and we never share it with anybody outside the charity without prior authorisation. Highly sensitive information is only handled by trained, qualified staff. Sólás will process all personal data in compliance with the Data Protection Act 2018 for the purpose of providing you with a service you have requested and to meet statutory obligations. We will never ask for information that is unnecessary to deliver this service.

 

We will never sell or share your personal information with third parties. Where prior consent has been requested to share your information with other professionals (e.g. schools, social workers, Family support hubs) we will use encryption and anonymise data where possible.

We will only retain personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose we collected it for, and for the purpose of satisfying any legal, accounting or reporting requirements. Our website does not use cookies or third party sellers.
