Early years programme begins

Our new early-intervention programme is aimed at children between the ages of 2 to 3 who have been identified by family support workers, health visitors and other professionals as not meeting their developmental milestones.

The aim of the programme is to work with these children through play sessions to encourage individual development in key areas. Currently the programme is supporting between 10-12 families within the south Belfast area.

Group 1: runs Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday in the Markets Surestart building.

Group 2: runs Thursday and Friday in the Mornington Community Premises. Each group supports approximately 6 children with 3 staff members (1 adult to 2 children). Sessions take place every weekday morning from 10 am to 12.30pm
