As part of the 30th Anniversary of Volunteers’ Week, we celebrated the contribution made by our volunteers at an event held at Crumlin Road Gaol in Belfast on Tuesday 3rd June.
The event was attended by OFMDFM Junior Minister, Jennifer McCann MLA and All Party Chairperson on Autism at Stormont Dominic Bradley MLA. Parents and volunteers were also in attendance.
Our new website, developed with the help of Business in the Community and NIE, was also launched. Martin Howell MBE from BITC delivered a speech alongside Chris Huntley from NIE.
Chief Executive of Volunteer Now, Wendy Osborne OBE, joined in the celebrations at the Gaol and presented Sólás volunteers with their ‘Certificates of Appreciation’ for their contribution to the voluntary sector.
Thank-you to all who attended and made it a fantastic day!
