Michelle has been the Home Support Coordinator for Sólás since October 2016. Before coming to Sólás she worked for the EAGLE project within Belfast Central Mission for 4 years, as a children’s worker, youth group leader and project worker. Within EAGLE she gained a wealth of experience working with children and teenagers with ASD, and their families which has been invaluable in her role at Sólás.

She developed an interest in ASD from an enthusiastic lecturer whilst completing her undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of Ulster. She was so interested and curious about the spectrum disorder that she went on to complete a postgraduate master’s degree in ASD from Queen’s University Belfast. Her role at Sólás involves coordinating support and activities for children and young people referred to us from local support hubs and other organisations, providing support in their own home settings and implementing a new Respite service for families using Direct Payments.
